Madeleine Barker, MA, LCPC
Madeleine is a licensed clinical professional counselor. She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Madeleine is a therapist who seeks to help individuals navigate life’s challenges, including grief, loss, chronic illness, anxiety, and depression. She believes healing is not about erasing pain but about learning to live alongside it with meaning and intention. Rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Existential Therapy, Madeleine’s approach helps clients accept life’s uncertainties, connect and identify their values, and move forward with resilience. She has worked with individuals facing a wide range of struggles, from the weight of mourning to chronic pain and the distress of anxiety and OCD.
Madeleine previously worked at a practice in Miami that emphasized holistic healing, reinforcing her belief in the mind-body connection. As a movement professional in Pilates, she recognizes the profound healing properties of movement. She often incorporates this into her therapeutic work, helping clients reconnect with their bodies as a source of strength and grounding. Whether someone is grieving, managing a chronic condition, or feeling trapped in patterns of fear and self-doubt, Madeleine offers compassionate guidance toward acceptance, empowerment, and a more meaningful life.
Madeleine’s approach to health and healing balances acceptance and growth. She recognizes one’s present experience while creating a path forward that aligns with the values explored in therapy. Drawing from her background as a Pilates instructor, she embraces a holistic perspective, recognizing that overall well-being emerges from tuning into both the mind and body. She encourages clients to cultivate awareness, listen to their bodies’ needs, and engage in practices that nurture physical and emotional strength.
